Voting While Black:
A History of Black Voting in America Forum Join LWVFL on February 28 at 6:00 p.m. (ET) for a thought provoking forum entitled "Voting While Black, a History of Black Voting in America." In honor of Black History Month, LWVFL will host a panel of speakers who will address Black voting and in America. The discussion will include historical perspectives, as well as a frank dialogue about the suppression of Black voting and how we can work to make a change. Redistricting education will specifically be addressed. Each local League is encouraged to invite their members and Black and Brown community organizations/partners to this virtual event. Our local Leagues are currently eligible for pass-through redistricting grants that can be used to publicize this event and to incentivize community partner attendance.
